She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater BFA Actors Training Program where Iman spent a year training in London. In 2010, Iman became the owner and CEO of EDGE Magazine, a modern online publication that sought to inspire millennials through stories of their peers success. The publication was able to collaborate with brands ranging from VH1 to ADIDAS.
In 2013, Iman began to focus more of her attention back into her first love: acting. Combining her love for storytelling with her writing abilities, Iman wrote her first book, “on breakups and beginnings”, in 2016. Released independently, the book spent weeks in the top three of Amazon’s best-selling African American poetry list and has sold over 2,000 copies. Her followup offering, “on becoming”, hits Amazon and online retailers in Spring 2019.
